The Latin word Nebula directly translates to mist or cloud. In simple astronomical terms, a nebula is a giant cloud of gas occupying the space between stars and serving as a nursery for new stars. The Orion Nebula is just one of the various Nebulas we have in the interstellar. Arguably the brightest nebula that can be spotted in space. I won’t dwell much on the details of a nebula, as that is not exactly what this article is about, however should you ever have the opportunity to look into a telescope, you should point it towards a nebula, for in it lies beauty and majesty one that I believe can only be brought about by design and not chance, because as William Palley put it; “There cannot be design without a designer; contrivance without a contriver; order without choice; means to a suitable end without the end ever being contemplated in the first place.”
The reason we named this blog Orion Nebula boils down to our very motto “everything science through everything art” which the Orion Nebula happens to perfectly represent. Beautiful and majestic as the Orion is, it is also a product of many deep and complex scientific processes, in fact without
Nebulas there may be no stars at all. The Nebula stands as a perfect union between the two great forces of nature; science and art. and that is exactly what we hope to achieve with this blog.
With Orion Nebula, we want to present Science through beautifully artistic means, which would include beautiful writings, beautiful articles, beautiful poems, and many more beautiful analogies. It is our chief dream and hope, that like Orion Nebula is luminescent to the parts of the far away somewhat mysterious interstellar, this blog would shed light on the difficult, distant, somewhat incomprehensible parts of science. And much more like stars are born from the Orion Nebula, this blog bearing the same name will kindle sufficient interest in scientific issues in the hearts of all who come across it. Interest that would yield sufficient curiosity, the type that made someone like Newton ask the same question for a decade, to bring about hidden laws of nature, the type that made Da Vinci what he became, the type of curiosity that made Pierre de Fermat though a lawyer, pursue the quest of mathematical answers till he became regarded as one of those who laid the foundations for calculus.
It is our dream to spur the next generation of scientific legends to various pursuits in science by writing beautiful scientific articles. Ladies and gentlemen with no further ado, I bring you the ORION NEBULA
It's beautiful how so much of science is art itself. I look forward to great things from the Orion Nebula.
Cheers to science and fun🥂
